Great Bridge Reenactment

This was sent in my APG member Mike Pierce. The pictures were taken at the 250th , actual date Dec 9th, Great Bridge Re-enactment in Chesapeake VA.

The highlight of attending the event  for Linda and myself was meeting those involved in the Virginia Youth Regiment run by a former Marine.   Participants are from 8 or 9 years old to perhaps 18 years old. These young adults take their role seriously and were fun to talk with.  My favorite picture is the young man defending the officer’s tent from either being attacked or seduced by the local population.

Pictures:  Lord Dunmore reading his proclamation, Group picture of the VA Youth Regiment along with some adult re-enactors, the local patriots at  the Great Bridge Reenactment, and the guard.

Regards

Mike”
