On Saturday, July 8th the APG was present at the World Model Expo in Chicago. Our table was positioned in the Open Hospitality Salon across from the Registration Area for the Expo. We had our standing display in the entrance which helped direct the modelers and visitors to our location. There were quite a number of walks-ups during the day which resulted in three new memberships and one renewal.
We sold a total of four figure kits, five flats and one hat. On the WE figure list we sold Doug Cohen’s “When Horseflesh Comes High” for $600.00. Kevin Golden’s “Minuteman” brought $300.00 and Peter Twist’s “Fusilier” fetched $550.00. Another collector picked up the pieces owed him.
Total sales of kits and figures were $1,895.00. Not bad for a few hours of our time invested.
A big thank you to all the volunteers that helped man the table and to Dee Moore for her assistance in the table set up.
The overall show was a great success and I’m sure by now you have all seen the fantastic displays shown on Facebook. “A good time had by all”.
