Now that the amazing Banners of Liberty exhibit at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia has ended, the 2nd New Hampshire flag, which the APG fully funded the conservation of, has returned home to the New Hampshire Historical Society. We would like to share a thank you note we received from the Society. Your membership, dedication, and support helps makes things like this possible! Here it is:
“Dear Mike Stelzel,
I remember when we spoke late last year about the images of the 2nd New Hampshire Revolutionary War Flag because your organization, Artist Preservation Group, was going to fund the conservation of the “We are One” flag. Thank you! In case it has not yet been shared, the flags came back to the New Hampshire Historical Society and have been rehung on the wall along our staircase. This happened last week. They used to be on opposite sides of the stairs but are now able to be displayed together. They look really fantastic! I have attached a photograph. Apologies for the glare.
We do have a label below which credits your organization as the funder for the conservation of the flag. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I hope you or your colleagues are able to visit to view them one day.
All the best,
Sarah
